Members' meeting, Thursday 26 February 2015
Caledonian Hotel, North Adelaide
7.00 for 7.30 pm

Members are invited to meet and hear witty and articulate author and cultural commentator Jerry Pinto, who is visiting South Australia during Writers’ Week 2015. Lauded for his 2012 novel, Em and the Big Hoom (about which he will be speaking at Writers’ Week), Jerry also wears the hats of poet, journalist, essayist and editor. He has edited various anthologies and is the executive editor of Man’s World magazine, India.

Jerry will be speaking about his writing and editing experiences and his views on the use of politically correct language in different writing styles. Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions afterwards.

Join us in North Adelaide on Thursday 26 February at the Caledonian Hotel ‘Boardroom’ for a glass of wine and some nibbles at 7.00 for a 7.30 pm start, when we will hear, amongst other things, why this engaging and quotable writer ‘deplores glibness’.

Our warmest thanks go to the organisers of Writers’ Week for allowing us to ‘borrow’ Jerry for an evening.

Please respond by 18 February via Eventzilla.

P.S. For a sneak preview see Jerry Pinto on YouTube.
