‘Editing: fit for purpose’

Royal Holloway, University of London

The publishing landscape is changing, driven by new technologies and globalisation. More and more editors and proofreaders are working for self-publishers and the business sector, and even long-established publishing houses are having to evolve. At this year’s conference, we will be exploring how all this affects us and discussing how we can ensure the services we offer are fit for purpose.

The pre-conference course, on 13 September, is Copy-editing 1: Introduction, aimed at anyone interested in learning the basics of copy-editing (visit for more details).
